About Hird Exchange
What this is
Hird Exchange is a marketplace for robotic work. It connects businesses that need physical work done with the machines and the people who can do it — robots, teleoperators, technicians, engineers, service providers, and integration firms.
It is not a robot catalog. It is a labor market for work that is becoming physical AI, organized around five markets: jobs, robots, operators, services, and integrators.
Who runs it
The Exchange is built and operated by Hird Robotics LLC, a robotics company based in Bakersfield, California. Hird builds, rents, repairs, deploys, and operates robotics hardware — including its own fleet. That is deliberate: the people running this marketplace do the work it lists.
Hird is also the Exchange's first seller. The Unitree G1 and Go2 listings, the workshop services, and the integration listings are Hird's own real inventory, not placeholders.
How it works today
Anyone can post a listing or respond to one. Every listing is reviewed by a person at Hird's coordination desk before it goes public, and inquiries are routed through the Exchange so nobody's email address is exposed until both sides are talking.
When you know the outcome you want but not what it takes to get there, Hird Integration takes the problem directly — engineers determine the robot, sensors, connectivity, operators, software, deployment, and maintenance as one working system.
Why work is changing
Teleoperation and remote robotics separate work from the location of the body doing it. An operator contributes judgment, perception, communication, and skill; the robot contributes mobility, strength, reach, and endurance. That makes remote machine operation a professional career path — open to skilled people anywhere, including those for whom physical presence was never an option.
Every job on the Exchange declares its work mode — human, teleoperated, semi-autonomous, autonomous, or hybrid — so the platform serves the work of today and the work of the next decade without being rebuilt.
